Horli mal jaddu – Once this place was a playground or dining ground for tigers. Now a days emerging cricketers in this area use this ground for playing cricket. Long back farmers used this ground to cultivate “Hurali” (Horse Gram). So the name “Horli mal jaddu” came for this ground. (In Kundapura Kannada, Horli means horse gram and Jaddu means field).
